Vol 4: Too Early 2025 NFL First Round Mock Draft
Halfway through this season is soon enough to take a sneak peak at next year's rookie class
NFL
2025 Mock Draft v1
New York Giants: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
The Giants take the highest upside signal caller ending the Daniel Jones experiment. There is a strong chance they could be lower in the draft order and still end up with Sanders.
Cleveland Browns: Cam Ward, QB, Miami
The Browns take the safest quarterback in the draft ending the Deshaun Watson experiment.
New England Patriots: Travis Hunter, WR, Colorado
The Patriots are devoid of playmakers for newly minted QB Drake Maye and take the most versatile player in the draft.
Jacksonville Jaguars: Will Campbell, OL, LSU
Cam Robinson is a free agent after this season and the Jags take the best O-lineman to shore up protection for Trevor Lawrence. If they end up with a worse record than New England, they take Travis Hunter, and NE takes WR McMillan.
Carolina Panthers: Tetairora McMillan, WR, Arizona
With Sanders and Ward off the board, the Browns take the 6-5, 210 mismatch waiting to happen. A no-brainer at this spot.
Las Vegas Raiders: Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama
Milroe shows real potential with a powerful arm and accuracy. Milroe’s deep ball is fantastic. He is also a real threat with his legs. The Raiders finally invest here after missing out in the draft last year.
Tennessee Titans: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
With the top three QBs off the board, the Titans take the best player available in an area in which they most struggle. If the situation allows, they may replace Will Levis or go for WR McMillan.
New Orleans Saints: Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia
The Saints have a lot of holes, but the Chase Young experiment was fruitless and they address their lack of pass rush here.
Miami Dolphins: Kevlin Banks, OT, Texas
The Dolphins know they need to protect Tua to stay in the mix. They take perhaps the most versatile option in the draft here.
New York Jets: Abdul Carter, DE, Georgia
The Jets invest in the position to pair with their strong secondary.
Dallas Cowboys: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
The Cowboys finally add a stud to stabilize their ground game after failing to address it last year.
Indianapolis Colts: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
The Colts will not give up on Anthony Richardson that easily, and take the best TE in the class to bolster the corps.
Chicago Bears: Tyler Booker, OL, Alabama
The most sacked QB in the league will struggle until they learn to protect him. They take the 6-5 Crimson Tide standout here.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M
Perhaps the best value pick on the board so far, the Bucs add youth to the defensive side of the ball.
Seattle Seahawks: James Pearce, Jr., EDGE, Tennessee
The Seahawks take the best player available here. I think there’s a reason he falls this far - do not love this pick.
LA Rams: Mason Graham, DL, Michigan
After another productive season at Michigan, an upfield rusher for the Rams.
Arizona Cardinals: Malaki Starks, S, Georgia
The Cardinals bolster their secondary with the best safety in the draft.
Denver Broncos: Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri
The Broncos add a real weapon for budding QB Bo Nix. He fits the Sean Payton system well.
Cincinnati Bengals: Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas
The Bengals address the loss of Tee Higgins to free agency with Bond here.
LA Chargers: Shavon Revel, Jr., DB, East Carolina
The Chargers would have loved Burden or Bond, and those are very plausible picks if they fall to this spot. They choose to address their weak secondary instead.
Atlanta Falcons: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
The Falcons add a dynamic weapon for Kirk Cousins.
Green Bay Packers: Jalon Walker, EDGE, Georgia
The Packers are missing this presence in their otherwise stout team
Pittsburgh Steelers: Kenneth Grant, DT, Ohio State
The Steelers would have loved Milroe here, and take him if he is still on the board but in the absence of that luxury, they add youth to their DL.
Minnesota Vikings: Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame
The Vikings address a key area of concern here.
San Francisco 49ers: Harold Perkins, LB, LSU
The Niners take another jack-of-all-trades dynamic playmaker.
Houston Texans: Jalen Royals, WR, Utah State
You can never have too many weapons in this league.
Baltimore Ravens: Princely Umanmielen, EDGE, Ole Miss
The Ravens seem to get the best out of everyone on defense and dig deep for the Florida star with immense raw talent.
Philadelphia Eagles: LT Overton, EDGE, Alabama
In classic Eagles fashion, they get a steal here with another high-upside pass rusher.
Washington Commanders: Josh Conerly Jr., OT, Oregon
The Commanders need OL talent to protect Jayden Daniels and take the pro-ready LT here.
Buffalo Bills: Jordan Burch, DT, Oregon
The Bills can afford to go for the high-upside, but inconsistent Burch here.
Detroit Lions: Jack Sawyer, EDGE, Ohio State
The Lions’ offense is shored up, so they double down on their D-line here with a fantastic pick.
Kansas City Cheifs: Cam Williams, OT, Texas
A team with no holes would love to take Loveland here, but with the Colts sniping him, they take a talented player who has somehow fallen this far.
Maybe the Giants GM should let his son pick

Is this the ‘Canes year?
I'm not too fond of the expression Stanley Cup Finals or bust - but this is the vibe we are getting from the Canes. They sense weakness in the East. The Panthers, Leafs, and Bruins are not untouchable like in years past. This creates an opening for a consistent team to emerge as a home favorite in the playoffs. Goalie Pyotr Kochetkov has taken charge, leading the team to a 10-3 start with a four-game homestand sweep. The ‘Canes have used the same 18 skaters in all 13 games.
When opening-night starter Frederik Andersen was injured after starting the season 3-1-0 with 95 saves on 101 shots, Carolina’s most questioned position became even more precarious and the Russian has lived up to the task. His metrics may not match Andersen 1-1, but he has made the crucial saves when it counts. Time and time again, we see how someone can be elevated at the position and lead to team chemistry and success. They move up to #3 in the Power Rankings below.
